Building your circle of support
Most of us have a circle of support in our lives. It might include:
- a neighbour that cuts our hedge at the same time as his own
- a son who drops us off at our hospital appointment
- a newsagent who delivers our weekend paper
- friends made at a local exercise group
- a friend that picks up our child from school...
We often create circles of support to help make our lives a little easier.
This website is designed to help you build and enhance your circle of support, step by step - giving you a support network of trusted people, places and services, which can help you to live an independent life.
Within the site you will find information and advice about the wide range of services and support for adults and older people available in Gloucestershire. Ranging from social and leisure activities to volunteer opportunities; support groups to help in your own home - ultimately helping you get more out of life.
Organisations, businesses and community groups can promote their own activities and services by visiting the add an entry pages.
If you have any comments or useful suggestions, please email us yourcircle@gloucestershire.gov.uk or complete the feedback form.
